Addgene ships Transfection-Ready DNA as 50 µg or 100 µg of DNA in Tris buffer. This DNA preparation has been validated through next-generation sequencing and is ready for use in downstream applications. The DNA will be provided at 1.0 µg/µL ± 2.5%. We recommend briefly spinning down the tube prior to use.
Storage
DNA can be stored in the tube you receive at 4 °C for up to four months, or -20 °C for long term storage. Minimize the number of freeze/thaw cycles.
Plasmid Validation
Transfection-Ready DNA samples have undergone full-plasmid sequencing validation, and are ready to use for mammalian cell transfection and other molecular biology applications. However, if you wish to further verify your stock, standard techniques such as diagnostic restriction digest, Sanger sequencing, or NGS may be used.
