Each type of material we distribute will be shipped in a package environment suitable to ensure viability upon arrival.
- Plasmids: generally shipped as bacterial stabs at room temperature; stable for approximately 2-3 weeks in transit.
- Pooled Libraries: shipped as tubes of liquid DNA on blue ice; viable for approximately 2-3 weeks in transit, even at room temperature.
- Plate Kits: generally shipped as bacterial glycerol stocks on dry ice. Due to customs regulations, kits may need to be shipped at room temperature for certain international locations.
- Virus and virus associated DNA: shipped with enough dry ice to last 3-5 days in transit.
- Cloning Grade DNA: shipped as 2 µg of purified cloning grade DNA in a tube at room temperature: viable for approximately 2-3 weeks in transit.
- Antibodies: shipped as tubes of liquid protein either on blue ice or at room temperature.
Orders containing different material types may be shipped separately. All orders ship from our facility in the United States and we send a confirmation email with a tracking number for each shipment.
