- All orders must be submitted directly through our website, with the exception of orders placed through our distributors. We have partnerships with distributors in Brazil, China, Japan, Korea, and India as well as third party distributors in Taiwan to offer assistance with ordering and importation for these countries. - All direct orders ship from our facility in the United States. Every international order includes a customs invoice and shipper's declaration describing our materials as non-hazardous research samples with low commercial value. Most orders clear customs without any issue, however every country has different requirements regarding the importation of biological materials.
- While Addgene assists importation by including thorough shipping documents and following import procedure, it is the responsibility of the importer to complete any additional customs documentation that might be required. If you are unsure of your country’s requirements for importation, please check with your institution.
- Please be aware that the importer is also responsible for any additional taxes or fees that may be associated with your shipment. The courier will contact you directly regarding these charges, if applicable.

Addgene abides by U.S. export control laws. Accordingly, we are currently not able to ship to the following countries: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, Rwanda, Myanmar/Burma, Russia and Belarus.

Scientists in Brazil may continue to place orders directly through Addgene or order via Sinapse Biotecnologia. For direct orders, Addgene requires your institution's CNPJ number. You will be required to enter this number during the online checkout process. Please note that Brazilian customs and ANVISA may require special importation documents.
