We are currently only offering viral vector production services for transfer plasmids in Addgene’s repository. We are not offering custom vector preparation, or preparation of viral vectors other than AAV and lentivirus. If you are interested in a custom viral preparation, we suggest contacting a core facility or viral production company that can do custom DNA cloning of the novel transfer plasmid.
AAV and lentiviral vectors that are broadly applicable may already be ready to order as in-stock preparations. Many of the remaining AAV constructs in our repository that are not available as AAV preps under our ready-to-order service, may instead be requested through our AAV Packaged on Request service. These eligible constructs are identifiable in their respective pages via a dropdown menu used for selecting the serotype and the production size that you want to request (and subsequently order) as a small-scale preparation made for your lab.
Some AAV and lentiviral transfer plasmids may not currently be available as or eligible for a request as a viral vector preparation. To suggest a plasmid from Addgene’s repository for viral vector packaging service, use our Viral Service Suggestion Form. Please note, this does not guarantee viral vector packaging but lets us know what viral vectors would be helpful to the scientific community.
