What virus titer will I receive?

Lentivirus (individual plasmids)

  • Standard preparation: We provide 1 mL of virus with titers of at least 105 TU/mL for viruses based on Cas9 plasmids, and 1 mL of at least 106 TU/mL for viruses based on most other plasmids.
  • Concentrated preparation: The titers of individual plasmids are listed on each item's material page. Typically, titers of concentrated lentiviral preparations are 10-100 fold higher than a standard preparation of the same virus. The volume of each concentrated viral preparation is variable, and is listed on each item's material page.

Lentivirus (pooled libraries)

  • Standard preparation: We provide 13 mL of virus with titers of at least 107 TU/mL.
  • Concentrated preparation: Concentrated lentiviral preparations of pooled libraries contain the same total number of transducing units as standard preparation of pooled libraries, but in a smaller volume. The minimum titer for concentrated lentiviral preparations of pooled libraries is 2×108 TU/mL. The volume of each pooled library depends on titer, and will supply the minimum number of transducing units specified.

AAV

  • We offer 100 uL of virus with titers ranging from 2-5×1012 vg/ml. The actual titer of each viral preparation is determined experimentally and will be reported with each shipment.

The actual titer of each viral preparation is determined experimentally and will be reported with each shipment. Specific information on volume and titer can be seen on the material page for each viral item.
