How do I update or add information to my plasmid after depositing?

Once you have completed the deposit submission process on our website and received a confirmation email with a unique deposit ID number from us, you can no longer modify the plasmid or publication information using your account; however, we are always happy to help change or correct the information available on our website!

Please send an email to describing the additions or modifications you wish to make to your plasmid deposit and we can update the information for you.

Note that plasmid names should be finalized and match how they appear in any manuscripts or publications before submitting them to Addgene. Requests to update plasmid names after submission will require amending legal agreements, and delay the availability of the plasmid until the amended agreement has been reviewed and approved by your institution.
